How Do I Select the Correct Size Junior Golf Clubs?

Our junior golf clubs for kids ages 9-12 are generally for children between 48 and 58 inches tall. It is important to select junior golf clubs based on height and not age. Age should be used just as a guideline. When measuring the height of your child, make sure he has his shoes on. Every manufacturer has a different height range recommendation. As your junior golfer is either starting golf or looking to add some clubs, it's very important to find the proper golf club length for your teen golfer. Now that we have a table of club lengths, we will help provide even more detail.

How Many Clubs Should Be in My Pre-Teen's Golf Bag?

As children get stronger and more skilled, it is time to add clubs to your child's golf bag. The youngest golfers (ages 2-5) only need one or two clubs. This is because they can't hit the ball very far, so more clubs only add more confusion. For golfers who are between the ages of 9, 10, 11, and 12, they are at a more mature level and can handle more clubs in their bag. With that being said, we recommend anywhere from 5 clubs to 7 clubs in your childs bag. This usually looks like a driver, hybrid, iron, wedge, and putter.

As your child starts to hit the longest clubs with some distance and you can tell the difference between how far they hit a fairway wood and a 7 iron, it is time to add clubs.
