Callaway Teen Set vs US Kids Teen Golf Set Comparison Guide by All Kids Golf Clubs

The new Callaway XT Teen golf set was introduced in 2026. Many parents are asking for a comparison between this new Callaway teen set and the US Kids Teen set, also known as the TS6-66 . We are unbiased evaluators since we do not make our own clubs.

Price: What first stands out to us is the price. For the full 10 club set with stand bag, the US Kids TS6-66 teen golf set is $400 more expensive than the Callaway XT Teen set for the all graphite shaft version. Is it worth the extra cost? Let us find out!

Set Options / Add Ons: US Kids wins here. You can purchase a US Kids teen set with all graphite shafts or stainless steel options on the irons. You can also select additional US Kids clubs to add to your teen’s bag that can be purchased separately including a 3 Hybrid, 4 Iron, 52 and 60 degree wedge. These additional clubs range in price between $79.99 and $109.99.

While the option to add additional clubs is helpful, the price for these additional clubs is what grabs our attention. You can add Callaway custom made teen irons at AllKidsGolfClubs for $158 as well. They do not match the Callaway teen set exactly but they are high end Callaway irons custom made by Callaway specially for teens. 

Color Options: Callaway also offers their right handed teen sets in three color options: all black, blue / silver and red / silver. The US Kids set is only available in all black. Callaway’s left handed teen set is only available in all black.

What’s Included in the Golf Bags?  

Both Sets Include 10 Clubs Both the Callaway teen set and the US Kids set include a driver, fairway wood, hybrid, and two wedges. The Callaway set has 4 irons (6 through 9) and the US Kids Set has 5 (5-9) irons. 

US Kids Teen Set does NOT include a Putter. Very strange! As the largest retailer of kids golf clubs, we haven’t seen this before. On the other hand, the Callaway teen set includes an Odyssey Jailbird Putter, the kind that retails for $299.99 when sold separately. That is a huge selling point for the Callaway Teen set!

Let’s Compare the Individual Clubs:

Driver: Similarities - Both clubs are made using Titanium. The US Kids driver offers weight adjustability (nice feature), a lower loft at 10.5 degrees and a longer shaft at 44.75 inches long. The Callaway Driver included in the XT Teen Set is a much higher lofted driver at 14 degrees and an inch shorter. The US Kids driver is slightly lighter overall than the Callaway teen driver.

Which driver is more suitable for my teen? US Kids says that this updated version of their teen driver will produce longer distances and greater ball speeds. But let’s look at why that is happening. The US Kids driver is lower lofted and longer than the driver in the Callaway XT teen set. A lower loft and longer shaft WILL result in more distance for advanced players, however, the US Kids driver will be more difficult to hit for intermediate players.

If your kid is a top golfer playing regularly and on the high school golf team, the US Kids driver makes sense. However, if your teen is still on the learning curve, the US Kids driver will be frustrating for him to hit. Lower lofts and longer drivers will get longer distances for those who can consistently hit the driver, but for those still learning, they will ultimately have more mis-hits and more frustration with the US Kids driver.

Woods: Both the US Kids and Callaway sets include one fairway wood and one hybrid. Similar to the driver, the US Kids woods are lower lofted, longer and slightly lighter weight than its Callaway counterparts. As with a driver, higher lofted and shorter clubs are easier to hit consistently and are better suited for beginner to intermediate juniors. Generally speaking juniors and teens should be golfing with shorter woods than adults because slightly shorter woods are easier to swing consistently which will result in fewer mishits and more consistency. 

It’s important to note that the US Kids 3 Wood has the identical loft and length of a men’s standard 3 wood. The Callaway fairway wood included in the set is labeled generic “Fairway Wood” but is more similar to a men’s 5 wood than a 3 wood but is shorter in length. Again, we see a trend here, but a 5 wood is easier to hit than a 3 wood and your child will see more consistency using it when compared to a 3 wood.

Irons: The US Kids set comes with a total of seven irons 5-9 irons, a pitching wedge and 56 degree wedge. The Callaway set has a total of six irons, 6-9 irons, a pitching wedge and sand wedge. Let’s look at the side by side comparison:

* For men’s standard iron lofts, we listed traditional men’s standard lofts. The newer, more modern iron lofts are about 4 degrees lower for each club 5 iron through pitching wedge.

Beginner golfers and teens trying to build their confidence on the course will find a higher success rate using the Callaway Teen Set. US Kids loft and length are almost one and the same with Men's Standard, whereas Callaway's is much more appropriately designed for teen sizing and skill level. For example, US Kids 6 Iron (loft / length) is 31° / 37.75”, this is 1 degree higher and the exact same length as Mens Standard. On the other hand, Callaway’s 6 Iron is 32° / 36.5”, two degrees higher in loft and 1.25 inches shorter than Men's Standard. By comparing both iron sets with men's standard loft and length, it’s evident the Callaway Teen Set is much more suitable for teens than US Kids.

Above we provide a comparison between the current Callaway teen clubs vs US Kids. We are comparing the same club in both instances. The Callaway club is on the left in both images and US Kids club is on the right. You can see with the Callaway club in both the iron and the wood images that the club face is larger. A larger club face is more forgiving and doesn’t punish the user with mis-hits as much as a smaller club face. The grooves are also much deeper on the Callaway clubs.
