Girls Golf Clubs and Sets for All Ages
The most important question we get asked about girls golf clubs is this: Are Girls Golf Clubs Different from Boys Golf Clubs? The easiest answer to this question is no. Prior to puberty, girls and boys are generally the same height, same strength and same size. However do not underestimate the power of color. For the youngest golfers, color is really the only difference between girls golf sets and boys clubs. In fact we've heard it from you, our customers, that color matters to your girls, so we offer as many color options as possible that most girls like. We have hot pink, purple, light pink, and for the older girls, even teal golf sets available for purchase.
Additionally, if you're trying to introduce golf as a new game to your girl, having her favorite color clubs makes her more likely to want to try golf. This is the best way to make her golfing experience even better.
Once girls hit puberty though, you need to start thinking about the differences between girls and boys as it relates to their golf game. For teen girls, they need lighter weight clubs than boys because they aren't as strong, can't swing as fast and the clubs need to be properly sized to their height (which is the same for boys.). In many cases, for the older girls, we recommend women's clubs for teenage girls instead of teen clubs. Many of the teen club shafts are stiffer than a standard ladies shaft. So moving from a junior golf set for ages 9-12 to a womens set makes way more sense for girl while skipping the teen set altogether. But be aware, womens clubs typically are stronger lofted than teen clubs. What does that mean? Generally the loft on a womens club is 1-2 degrees lower than the same club in a teen set. Higher lofted clubs are easier to hit, but as long as you are aware of this difference you can have her adjust the club she's using based on this information. Because we recommend womens golf clubs to so many girls, we carry a great selection of womens golf sets that are quality sets as well as price friendly for parents.
How to Shop for Girls Golf Clubs
Designed for Girls Heights & Strengths: All of the golf clubs for girls you find here at AllKidsGolfClubs.com are sized in different lengths, depending on your girl golfers current height. Whether the golfer is 35 inches tall or 65 inches tall, we have the perfect option for your junior golfer. Regardless of your childs height, their strength is not the same as an adult, which is why all girls golf sets come with lightweight graphite shafts. Graphite shafts allow for more launch with slower swing speeds.
- Proper Sized Clubs: It's best to shop for girls golf clubs by your childs height. Age should always be used as a guideline. We make this step as easy as possible, by writing in the products title and description, the height requirement for each set. When shopping on our site, on the left side navigation, first select the height range that your girls currently fits into. This will filter all of the clubs and sets we carry for only those that match her current height. No one else makes it as easy as we do to shop for the properly sized girls golf clubs.
- Graphite Shafts: Graphite shafts are used in all junior clubs because it allows for more flex, more torque, and faster swing speeds. This allows for faster swing speeds and more launch on all her hits.
- A variety of colors available: Kids have wonderful imaginations and allowing they to bring these ideas to life when golfing, will get them excited to play, and continue to play. We carry girls golf clubs with variety designs, aesthetically appealing, and colors like pink, purple, blue, teal, light blue, and the list goes on. We have found that if your girl golfer has a set that they absolutely love looking at, it will keep them engaged and excited to play. On the other side of this, is using an old dusty set you found at the local pro shop, and having your daughter us it. This will not get them excited to play golf, and will want them to just head home.
Are Girls Golf Clubs Lighter than Boys Golf Clubs?
Prior to the preteen years, girls and boys are generally of equal height and strength, so golf companies design and manufacture golf clubs for girls (in the 3 to 12 year old age range) the same as golf clubs for boys. For girls (boys as well) they require special golf clubs that are designed for their current strength, height, and abilities. That is also true for golf balls, as children should use a softer ball.
